Aptco Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Trimac BV, a Dutch specialist in laboratory sample preparation equipment. The acquisition further strengthens Aptco Technologies and reinforces the Group’s long-term ambition to build a leading European technology platform for laboratory and materials characterisation solutions.
Founded in the Netherlands, Trimac has established itself as a trusted manufacturer of robust sample preparation equipment for laboratories worldwide. The company’s portfolio includes laboratory jaw crushers, disc mills and complementary sample preparation systems designed to reduce hard and brittle materials into homogeneous, representative samples for further analysis. These systems play a critical role in ensuring accurate and reproducible analytical results across industries where reliable sample preparation is the foundation of quality testing.
Today, Trimac serves laboratories and research organisations active in mining and minerals, geology, construction materials, metals, recycling, environmental laboratories, ceramics, cement, chemicals and academic research. Its equipment is recognised for its durability, ease of use and long service life, earning the company a loyal customer base throughout the Netherlands, Germany and the wider European market.
Trimac will become part of Aptco Technologies and will gradually be integrated into Fontijne Presses in Rotterdam. The acquisition creates strong synergies between the two organisations, combining expertise in sample preparation, materials testing and material characterisation while opening new opportunities for product development, international expansion and customer support.
More importantly, the acquisition represents another milestone in the evolution of Aptco Technologies as the home of Aptco Group’s proprietary technology brands. Together with Fontijne Presses, Porometer, LUXOR and MemSystems, Trimac further broadens the organisation’s capabilities across the complete laboratory workflow—from sample preparation and material processing to advanced material characterisation and analytical instrumentation.
